CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Cycle Power cycling is one of the best cardiovascular workouts out there and it is fun. It is great for beginners and for advanced. You can take it at your own intensity level. All levels.

BodyStrength is better than Boot Camp. Every day changes but your heart rate always stays up burning more calories. This classes uses body weight, very little weights, cardiovascular moves and any other ways to challenge your body in a new way. Intermediate and Advanced levels

PowerFit 101: Start to become stronger, faster and more powerful. Workouts will include squats, body weight movements, cardio and strength. Start to build yourself up to be part of the POWERWORKS CROSSTRAINING PROGRAM.

Yoga uses postures (asanas) and stretches in combination with the breath to develop flexibility and relaxation. Great for beginners and intermediate levels.

Beginner Yoga uses postures and stretches but is a much more gentler and slower pace than our regular yo-ga. Great for beginners or those with rehabilitation needs and seniors.

Core/Cardio Class combine core movements with Cardio and see the results of how much more effective core movements can be.

TRX Classes: TRX Suspension Training is a new approach to exercise that leverages one’s own body weight and the force of gravity and is designed to develop strength, balance, flexibility, endurance, coordination and core stability all simultaneously. The system utilizes a system of straps, buckles and grips that allows the user to work against their own body weight. TRX training engages the core on every exercise in addition to providing some cardio fitness in every single workout.

Senior Strength focuses on strength and balance. You will strengthen all large muscle groups using weights, bands, or bodyweight. Your balance will improve as we practice various stabilizing exercises. Targeted for the golden-ager who enjoys the friendship of others.

Weights for Women: These classes are designed to give you different routines for the gym. You will learn correct form and how to use the weight room to fit you. This is a class that is good for beginners or anyone who wants to be sure they are doing the correct form or just wants a new routine in the weight room.

ALL BALL - It’s back! If you like the ball - this is your class! Strength training with weights on the ball
and core moves. All levels.

Technique Class: This class will focus on Deadlift, Front Squat and Cleans. This class can be used just to im-prove your technique in the gym.

SPOYGA—Sport Yoga is the for athlete or active adult that needs to focus not only on flexibility, but mobility core and strength.

Slam, Bam & Cardio - Get your gloves out, it is time to beat some stress out! Get a great cardio/interval workout with bag exercises and cardio moves!

Cyclefit - Interval through a bike workout and powerfit body movements taking your workout to the next level.

PiYo - PiYo® LIVE combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibil-ity of flowing yoga movements. You’ll use your body weight to perform a series of continuous, targeted moves to define every single muscle—big and small.

BALANCE 101 - This class is the most beneficial class Powerworks has. We are huge fans of working hard and pushing your body to the “next level”. However, there comes a time when we need to be sure our back and core are strong, we have hip mobility and full movement of our shoulders and upper body. Balance was created to en-sure that we have balance in all those areas so we can always live a full life and challenge our self at the same time.
